CORE VACCINES
FVRCP
• begin vaccination @ 6-8 weeks of age
• booster every weeks until 14 -16 weeks of age
• revaccinate in 1 year then every year (or “at risk”)
RABIES
• vaccinate12-16 weeks of age
• revaccinate in 1 year then every year
NON-CORE
FELINE LEUKEMIA
• recommended for ‘at risk’ , FeLV negative cats only
• vaccinate @ 8 -10 weeks & booster in 3-4 weeks
• revaccinate annually if ‘at risk’
• strongly encourage vaccination of all kittens and then ‘at risk’ after 1 year
FIP
• not used – consider for ‘at risk’ cattery
BORDETELLA
• not used – consider for ‘at risk’ cattery
FIV
• no recommendations as yet – consider for “at risk”
Canine
CORE VACCINES
DHLPP
• begin vaccination with DHPP @ 6-8 weeks of age
• booster with DHLPP (9 wks old) every 3 weeks until 16 weeks of age
• revaccinate in 1 year then every year (or ‘at risk’)
RABIES
• vaccinate 12-16 weeks of age
• revaccinate in 1 year then every year
• Please remember that Miami-Dade County requires that every dog be vaccinated for rabies and be issued a certificate and tag.
NON-CORE
BORDETELLA / PARAINFLUENZA
• vaccinate ‘at risk’ dogs
• vaccinate > 2 weeks of age (intranasal product)
• vaccinate 7 – 10 days prior to group confinement (prefer 10-14 days)
• revaccinate annually unless required every 6 months by boarding facility or risk factors – use IN
CORONA

LYME
