DR. TED SANCHEZ D.V.M
Ted Sanchez was born in New York and lived in New Jersey until the age of 6, when his family moved to Miami, where he has lived ever since, attending Coral Way Elementary, Saints Peter and Paul Elementary, and Belen Jesuit Preparatory School. He studied at the University of Florida in Gainesville for 7 years, graduating with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1991.
Dr. Sanchez has spent his entire veterinary career working in South Florida, at practices in South Miami, Miami Beach, and Broward County. In 1996, he founded Silver Bluff Animal Clinic with a mission to provide excellent and comprehensive care to animals in a home-like environment and to create a community of people and their pets who value good health. Since that time, he has developed a strong and loyal client base.
He embraces his Cuban heritage, and his family has grown over the years, with a wife and three children (born in 1997, 1999, and 2001), siblings, parents, aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews all living in the area. His children have attended Coral Way Elementary School, George Washington Carver Middle School, and Coral Gables Senior High School, more evidence of his pride in his community and the people who live in it. He is an environmental steward, and has a passion for local products and foods. He is an avid gardener, focusing on local and edible plants, and maintains an active community garden adjacent to the clinic. He is also an excellent chef. On any given day, clients of Silver Bluff Animal Clinic can enjoy homemade and local foods while waiting for an appointment.
Ted takes great pride in his clinic, his staff, his family, and his community, and hopes that his spirit and enthusiasm are shared by all who come in contact with his practice. To this day, he embraces the idea that he and the staff of Silver Bluff Animal Clinic focus on health and wellness of animals and their owners in an effort to provide high quality veterinary services to his community.
